"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today." ~Malcolm X

MISSION STATEMENT

The guidance department at Paterson STEAM High School is committed to providing a safe and caring learning environment while assisting our students with academic, career, and social/emotional development. The school counselors at STEAM utilize a holistic approach to meet the diverse needs of students by working closely with students, parents, school staff, and other supportive services. The school counselors serve as advocates for our students between the school, their homes, special services and outside/community agencies.

VISION STATEMENT

Our vision is for our students to grow academically, meet graduation requirements, and plan for their future through college and career exploration. We expect for all students to graduate on time and be prepared for college and/or a career. Academic expectations are held high because we believe that an education is the key to a successful future.

School Counselors help students build bright futures!
